So I’ve been a bit reckless with my spending on my avenue card. I don’t even approve of 80% of the shit they sale in that store but I still managed to spend 107 dollars on my card recently. Its because they’re affiliates with onestopplus and let you use your avenue card to check out so my irresponsible ass got shoes and jeans. I really needed the jeans but these shoes not so much

I don’t even like sandals but I’m trying to step out of my comfort zone more. Especially since I have way more classy events to go to now lol can’t be rocking my vans always! I got them for that wedge heel. They were $39 (from torrid I must find more places to shop) I regret being irresponsible because I only like to use that card when i don’t have any other options but I couldn’t let another fat chick get these shoes. -shrugs- I just couldn’t. Also a bit of a side bar I’m working on a few things… like stepping away from stripes.

I was shopping for a top a few days ago for this concert I was going to. I just wanted something different. I grabbed this navy top without really thinking. It had stripes, I was wearing stripes when I bought it. The cashier goes “oh you like stripes” I looked down and said well damn… obviously I do! Its like a safe choice a bitch knows she’s gonna be cute in stripes. Why rock the boat you know its gonna work! That was just tragic I’ve decided its time to switch things up completely. I have to make it a rule never to buy an item similar to what I’m wearing when I’m shopping. I need to scroll through the mental rolodex a few times to determine if I own an item similar to what I’m thinking about purchasing. Its a waste of money if anything plus it shows that my wardrobe has no variety.

This has been the most depressing time for fashions. You Know how I’m always saying all you can ever find in stores is “all floral everything” well this is the one time of year where you expect to see floral until you vomit and I am having the hardest time finding a simple floral skirt! All I see is pastelle pinks and pale blue’s it’s sickening! I was thinking about getting a floral skirt and paring it with some tights and some boots. However every place that I went had ugly floral prints that I just didn’t like or the skirt was a pencil cut and my thighs are just not into the idea of such shenanigans.

Any who I took my sorrows to Torrid’s clearance section. Usually this time of year theres absolutely nothing in the clearance section but the ugly picked over stuff that no one else wanted! This is where I found a ugly skirt that I thought I could work with.

It was on sale for 9 bucks and I found these leggings and contemplated pairing the two. I’m still on the fence about the leggings but I went ahead and got the skirt because I just knew it would be out of stock soon. And guess what I was right it is! The skirt actually looks a lot better than the picture.

The leggings are new arrivals and they’re priced at 25 so I really dont think they’re going to go out of stock before I buy them next week. So the question is, will this clash? I’m no skirt person so I’d want to do some kind of layering with it. I want to try something new but I also don’t want to look like I’m trying to hard. Someone help me out… I’m completely lost

I woke up last Tuesday morning to a box of Kmart’s LYS Samples. I loved a few items in the look book so I was stoked!

I got a cardigan, tank and cargo pants. So we’ll start this in the order of the picture above.

Cardigan
The first thing I noticed about the cardigan was that it was heavy. Which is good, the cardigan will have a longer lifespan because of it. I noticed with a few of the cardigans that I purchased from Torrid the overall quality of the cardigan’s were just poor.If I would’ve saw them in a store I wouldnt have purchased them in the first place. Theres no greater disappointment than washing your sweater and it completely changing it’s appearance, be it from the loss of buttons or the fabric becoming limp. The cardigan that I received is black, I’d get the brown just based on how it looks on the model but you really can’t go wrong with black it goes with anything. The one peeve I have about this is the short sleeve if it was a 3/4 sleeve that being said it would only work with certain tops. Which leads me to the next item the tank.

Tank
I’m not a tank kind of girl. I love how they look on other people but never on myself. So I was happy that I got a cardigan with this. The tank I have came in a soft lavender color. When I initially wore it I paired it with some black Source Of Wisdom skinny pants and some distressed faux suede cowboy boots. I’m impressed with the tank it has this nice scoop cut that in the front makes the tank fall on your thighs it’s super flattering.

Cargo Pants
It’s still winter here in ohio… lol we legit had a snow storm last week. I tried these on but I haven’t worn them out the house because Its just too cold right now. So these pants came in a nice gray color (my faaaavorite color btw) A lot of times with pants from places like Kmart and Walmart they don’t fit true to size so you’d have to buy it a size larger to ensure it’ll fit right. Not the case with these pant’s. I got them in a 24 and they fit as they should they aren’t too tight in the thighs (which is a problem I have often). Plus they’re cute you can dress them up with a pair of heels or flats, you could also play these low key with some vans or converse.

What I liked most about the things I got was how easy you can put them with things you already have.

Thats pretty much the same outfit Source of Wisdom Skinny Jean with the LYS Tank only I’m wearing the LYS Black Cardigan on the left and on the right I’m wearing a gray knit cardigan from the Avenue. Overall I really like what LYS has to offer. I plan on purchasing a few dresses and possibly more tanks in the future from the line.
